aartist has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

In the spirit of Favourite modules March 2005 Do we have new favorite modules lists for last few years? I see the lists for years 2002,2003,2004 and 2005. but not anything after that. May be there are too many to call favorites?

Thanks.

The monk who posted those lists/questions has not logged into the Monastery for some time (approximately 2 years, according to his homenode). As to the reasoning for not having similar posts between 2005 and now (2015), I would not know.

Perhaps this could be an opportunity for you (or another industrious monk) to post the question and solicit suggested favorite modules and the reasoning why those instead of others (if available).

(I will suggest that the type of work and environment a particular monk exists in may affect their choice of favorite modules. Although the reasoning as to why a particular module would be the more interesting portion to me, it also seems as if it might provide an opportunity to learn about modules one is aware of, perhaps introducing one to a new soon-to-be favorite.)

    Hope that helps.
