in thread Is there an option to see the non answered questions?

You may be right; there may be more unanswered questions here than I think. It's an interesting idea, anyway, on how to locate them.

The level of knowledge here, and the willingness of the top experts (well above my level) to quickly research things for the sake of helping others, is so high that I think any question they've been unable to answer would be well beyond the ability of a beginner. But there's certainly nothing wrong with trying, and who knows what you might learn in the effort.

Exactly this is my point of view. Some times I might need more than the average time to answer a question, so I find it more interesting to spend time in a hard thinking question than a question that has already 4-5 answers under 5 minutes of posting the question.

Well this is just a suggestion, and I can understand why people do not want to spend time to some questions if they take more than 10 minutes to answer. So I have different target to answer these questions instead of the sort ones.

Any way this is just a suggestion, maybe it will get implemented maybe not.

Thank you for your time and effort answering my question.

Seeking for Perl wisdom...on the process of learning...not there...yet!

Some sites are built primarily as question and answer sites. They have a software feature to allow the person asking a question to mark it as answered or to select the best answer. That seems to work very well for those sites. Stack Overflow is probably the best-known example of that kind of question-and-answer site.

Perlmonks is more of a discussion site. Questions prompt conversations and often more questions. There is no "this answers my question" button. Such a feature may or may not be welcome here. I don't know. It could be very helpful for your intended purpose but at what cost? Costs would include retrofitting that sort of feature into the code and potential watering down of the discussion aspect of the site.

I think it could be enlightening to compare and contrast the style of discourse on Stack Overflow with that of PM's Seekers of Perl Wisdom. Both have their place I suppose, but I'd prefer to keep the style PM currently has.
