in reply to poll ideas quest 2015

My most used method to (re)visit sites in my browser is:

  • The browser's bookmarks
  • The browser's start page
  • The browser's history
  • The browser's URL bar/autocomplete
  • Keeping the tabs open
  • A web-provided start page
  • A web-provided bookmark page
  • My personal home page
  • A search engine
  • Browser plugin
  • Remembering all the URLs i care about
  • Asking people to send me a link
  • I never visit the same page twice

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

Is this different than the start page options? I'm not sure either way, nor the best (generic) way to phrase it.

A personal home page may or may not set up as the browser start page. You could phrase it as "My personal home page".

Bookmarking service, e.g. I use Google bookmarks.

Added as A web-provided bookmark page. Appropriately between "A web-provided start page" and "A search engine". :)

As a side note, I didn't know Google had that.

    • Use URL auto-complete
