Great examples! ++

In the midst of a contractual dispute with Warner Bros. in 1993, he changed his stage name to the unpronounceable love symbol and was often referred to as The Artist Formerly Known as Prince (or TAFKAP)

-- from The late (mindbogglingly brilliant) musician Prince (wikipedia)

I find this stuff very entertaining for some reason. I remember being amused in the extreme by Prince's new unpronounceable name.

Since I don't have a list of references on this topic yet, I'll remedy that oversight here so as not to disappoint the LanX. :) Further suggestions welcome!
