Should also work: 
print "$_\n" for sort_by { lc =~ tr/hfst/x-z/dr } @weekdays; # Monday 
+first
print "\n";
print "$_\n" for reverse sort_by { scalar reverse lc =~ tr/rn/at/dr } 
+@weekdays; # Sunday first
