Apparently it's still occasionally written "fiord" in New Zealand. At least autocorrection accepted° this without complaining.

update°) hm ... wrote this on my mobile On my desktop FF is now complaining about, fiord while chrome isn't. All say that an "English (US)" dictionary is used.
