      OP is a curious case of surprise. C++ wouldn't allow the syntax. C++ thinking rust? :)

        My surprise had nothing to do with C++ thinking (or even Rusty thinking). Like Parv I was expecting undef since it's been a long time since I've been bitten in that way by Perl's trailing comma in a list implications.
