This seems to be fabulous news, not just for the documentation work, but because Google is investing in Perl!

Any changes made to the websites or other public resources that host, publish, or otherwise make available Perl's documentation.
I'm especially happy to see this. I was afraid this was going to be just a "delete the man pages and make a JavaScript-heavy web docs" type of idea, as we see all too often in other spheres
