Among the reasons the author gives is that metaCPAN does the job now ... why duplicate? The way forward always starts with a minimal test.	[reply]

There are 2 killer features on CPANdeps which are missing from the MetaCPAN system. The first, as clearly acknowledged in the linked blog post, is the test result data. The second, apparently unmentioned, is the ability to restrict the results by O/S. If/when the MetaCPAN dependency system provides both of these it will be a fine replacement, but it is assuredly not there yet. 🦛	[reply]
