perlquestion
no longer just digit
<p>
I'm interested to know what people think is a good default indentation for the following input:
</p>
<code>
my @headings = (
{key => 'k', name => 'Kanji', class => 'kanji'},
{key => 'skip', name => 'SKIP', class => 'skip-code'},
{key => 'co', name => 'Suggestion', class => 'skip-code'},
{key => 'disc', name => 'Discussion'},
);
</code>
<p>
Emacs' cperl-mode in its default setting (as run with <code>emacs -Q</code>) indents the above as follows:
</p>
<code>
my @headings = (
{
key => 'k', name => 'Kanji', class => 'kanji'},
{
key => 'skip', name => 'SKIP', class => 'skip-code'},
{
key => 'co', name => 'Suggestion', class => 'skip-code'},
{
key => 'disc', name => 'Discussion'},
);
</code>
<p>
I think most people would agree that this is a little eccentric. I'm trying to set up a better default, but what indentations do people actually use for these types of things?
