Are you sure that's the code you're running? I'm getting

syntax error at /home/choroba/1.pl line 10, near "{{"
syntax error at /home/choroba/1.pl line 10, near "})"
syntax error at /home/choroba/1.pl line 18, near "} else"
syntax error at /home/choroba/1.pl line 26, near "}"
Execution of /home/choroba/1.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

I already had to turn strict off which I don't normally do.

map{substr$_->[0],$_->[1]||0,1}[\*||{},3],[[]],[ref qr-1,-,-1],[{}],[sub{}^*ARGV,3]
