I should define production maybe a bit better. I am considering some potential artistic use of programming. Imagine an artist write a program that the result is displayed (almost for sure on a computer) in a museum or any other artistic space. Then, eventually those modules could be helpful. And the fact that they would be available in the Debian packages would make them easier to deploy in the museum production or even help the curator keeping them alive (Perl is quoted in this page) for a very long time, if they are considered as of any interest.
