I'm from China, I've tried https://www.metacpan.org by computer and mobilephone, both failed. below is the ip mappping to metacpan.org:

When I ping those addresses I get replies from all of them. I see from whois that those domains all belong to pair Networks who also host PerlMonks. Optimising for fewest key strokes only makes sense transmitting to Pluto or beyond	[reply]
