in thread What do we have to do to resuscitate micro Perl? I want Circuit Perl NOW!

Why Perl 2 in particular? Where are these sources kept? I tried finding the source with no luck.

It's all in the same repository.

I also tried building Microperl in 5.30 and it doesn't build on my Mac.

Microperl has been broken for quite a while, IIRC sometime since like 5.12-5.16. perl5180delta says "microperl, long broken and of unclear present purpose, will be removed."

Thanks for the pointer !! LOL I did not bother to search GitHub! I always thought the Perl source that was on the CPAN..

One last thing.. so why specifically Perl 2?

I always thought the Perl source that was on the CPAN.

That's where the source tarballs are released (among others), and the official source code repository is now GitHub (previously it was https://perl5.git.perl.org/).

One last thing.. so why specifically Perl 2?

      I don't know, I'm not rje :-)

      Why Perl 2?

At the time I wrote the OP, I was playing with Perl 2, and thought to myself "this ain't such a bad subset".

No really, that's exactly the reason. It's smallish and potentially easier to tinker with. Perl 3 is, too.

I didn't say it was a GOOD reason. But I think it's worth considering.
