You should not need to use start_server ... --plackup to run a FastCGI setup in production. Use a standard web server, all of them support FastCGI. Plack is the FastCGI "glue" for Perl that enables you to connect with it, but the command-line is intended for offline testing purposes.

You have been corrected so many times on these points, FCGI and Plack… It’s exhausting really but then leaving it be seems like implicit agreement and might lead a reader down the dead end of your flooded, black mold caked rabbit hole. I wonder if a curated collection of your “Greatest PM $Hits®; a Sundial Is Right Twice a Year!” with your RealName† attached would be enough to make you lay off this sauce for good. Or would it just be vain cruelty, playing into your hands, since it seems clear at least some, now nameless, part of you enjoys the snapbacks? It would certainly be easy enough to link in reply to all your posts going forward and would be less tiring at least.

    † It’s a conundrum… Perhaps in need of referendum.
