Hi Ken

The ".pm" will be stripped from the URLs after the new patch is approved. (If ever)

Until that 3 of 4 shown links are broken.

[doc://] never knew a ".pm" notation before, this is a new feature.

Fair enough. Thanks for the clarification.

By the way, I think this is a very good idea: both you and anonymonk got a ++ from me.

Update: Changed "you got a ++" to "both you and anonymonk got a ++".

Well I was aware of the problem, but it was anonymous monk who brought it up.

I'm pondering if stripping .pod .pl should also be done, out of symmetry at least.

Keeping up with foreign websites is hard.

Probably we should also reconsider switching to http://perldoc.pl .

I had also given anonymonk an upvote. See my update.

Re changing to "perldoc.pl". I've been using "perldoc.perl.org" for so long, possibly a couple of decades, that it's become like an old, favourite jumper: a bit frayed around the edges, a few holes here and there, but I still like to wear it. I definitely like the the A-Z function and module searches it provides which "perldoc.pl" doesn't have. Also, given it's being revamped at the moment, I think we should give it a bit longer before dismissing it.
