Hmmm ... it's related in that I would be able to access those Strawberry Perl files if that website allowed https connections.
At least, I haven't yet had any troubles with https connections.
But it's not Strawberry Perl's fault that I'm (apparently) the only person in the world who can't make an http connection to the website unless I take my laptop over to my neighbour's place.

I've now got my ssh connection to sisyphusion.tk sorted out, and the process of doing a wget followed by an scp works fine, if a little klunky ;-)
I'm sure there's a smarter and neater way of doing it, but that'll do for now.

I probably should point out it's not just Strawberry Perl that I can't access via http.
There are plenty of other websites that pose the same problem.
Thankfully, most (but not all) of those other websites provide for https connections.

    Cheers,
    Rob

I understand the issue, while it sounds as though your ISP are being somewhat heavy handed here, I think it'd be wise for Strawberryperl.com to be presented over https.

        Agreed.
I just added a comment to that issue and included a link to this thread.
Not sure that this thread is all that relevant to "that issue", but it might help ignite some action.

        Cheers,
        Rob
