Rolf,
yes this is me. I just cannot be bothered to look up my login credentials. I hope you understand.
I was just talking about "PerlMonks". As that has deep roots in Perl 5, and a community that is 99%+ focused on Perl 5.
With regards to events: we will see. As I've stated many times before in the past year: I will no longer attend or sponsor any events that have just "Perl" in their name, like "London Perl Workshop" or "Perl Toolchain Summit". Because, now even more than before the rename, "Perl" just by itself means "Perl 5". So any potential speakers or visitors would be unaware that "Raku" presentations would be an option there.

Hi Liz
> I hope you understand.
Sorry, no I don't.
Your statement is of big "political" importance and PM is one of the main media of the community. ( Sorry, I didn't follow your statements on other channels)
I always fought hard to keep this community open for diverse opinions and constructive discussions and am sad when the system folds to trolling.
So out of respect to us who played fair, please bother for 5 minutes to get your password mailed.

A PerlMonks community who has time and time again made me feel unwelcome. So I don't see the big political importance. if anything, what I say here has proven to be not very important.

I know your pain. I am also sad that I had to "fold" from my views, in order to get Perl 6 renamed. I think we are in a new reality now, where forces in the communities want to distance themselves from each other. I have given in to these forces now. If anything, my remarks were intended to allow more rest in the monastery.

So done, and now I will immediately delete that mail again. I don't intend to come back here. I wish the PerlMonks and the Perl 5 community best of luck in their future endeavours. I'm no longer part of them anymore.
