Thanks. Sorry, that should be MySQL 5.1.50. I am scared of upgrading but I know you are correct.

Rose::DB::Object is brilliant and I can't recommend it enough. It makes database work so much easier.

    You scare because you don't test, The first thing you should do is install perlbrew and test your application in new environment. ;)
