It looks like an announcement of an announcement. If you look on the IRC channel logs, someone said "Maybe this will light a fire on us to start acting like we have paying users" or something.
I facepalmed. I will believe it when I see it. Just an announcement that Larry thinks maybe they'll release something stable sometime next year. We've all heard that before.
