Reading source code: mapping of function calls

szabgab has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

When reading source code I often would like to have a feeling of which function calls which function (or method). Is there a tool that can show a mapping of the call hierarchy? Using statical analysis.
