ghosh123 has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi
I have written an application which is creating a Jira issue using JIRA::Client module. The application is working fine but I am not able to attach a file to the ticket while creating.
I am referring to this below link and using attach_file_to_issue but not able to understand what is $key ? Please help.

    Hi,

You can also share your code here, so that we can help you better.

The $key is the unique id created in JIRA, when u create a new issue. When you create new issue you could have got hash refrence as return value, which contains details about your new issue including issue id, use that id as $key while attaching the file to that issue.

    All is well

      Hi
Thanks, it worked. The code is too long to write here. But it is simple, just creating JIRA::Client object and using the built in function called on that object.

Is there any mehod by which I can get list of all the previously created issues ? So that I can put that list in a dropdown and select the desired one from the list to update ?
