Documentation for Install paths

by McA (Priest)
on Apr 02, 2014 at 08:45 UTC ( [id://1080701]=perlquestion: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

McA has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi all,

can anybody point me to a (the) reference explaining the several module and install paths (sitelib, sitearch, privlib, archlib, vendorlib, vendorarch) and their intended usage available with Perl?

I found some nodes Setting build path for modules, Module packlists vs. vendors, Beginner - difference between lib directories in Perl install concerning this topic.

Thanky you in advance.

McA

Thank you Bloodnok and Anonymous Monk for the fast reply and the valuable hints. It seems to be the right entry point at least.

It may not be quite what you're looking fo0r, but Config appears to 'know' something about some of the paths.
