McA has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi all,

can anybody point me to a (the) reference explaining the several module and install paths (sitelib, sitearch, privlib, archlib, vendorlib, vendorarch) and their intended usage available with Perl?

I found some nodes Setting build path for modules, Module packlists vs. vendors, Beginner - difference between lib directories in Perl install concerning this topic.

It may not be quite what you're looking fo0r, but Config appears to 'know' something about some of the paths. hth, A user level that continues to overstate my experience :-))	[reply]
