search.cpan.org is on the blink. Anyone know why?

taint has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Greetings, Monks.

I notice http://search.cpan.org isn't responding. I just read the announcements, and such about an hour ago. But there was no indication they were going off line for anything. Anyone know what's happening?

Thanks.

UPDATE: They seem to be up now. I emailed them, so I'll update this, if I ever find out why they were offline.
P.S. Merry Christmas PerlMonks!

It's one of the more reliable sites around. But nothing's perfect. I think you just have to get used to it and come to the realization that when things go down, people generally get notified, and they usually get fixed without a lot of fanfare.

No go enjoy your holiday! ;)

      Happy Holiday, davido!

Of course. Not a great big deal, or anything. But at the time, I thought it might interesting to know if anyone had some insight. That might provide for a time length, or why it was unavailable.

Once again, have yourself a great holiday! :)

    It works for me.

A program should be light and agile, its subroutines connected like a string of pearls. The spirit and intent of the program should be retained throughout. There should be neither too little or too much, neither needless loops nor useless variables, neither lack of structure nor overwhelming rigidity." - The Tao of Programming, 4.1 - Geoffrey James

      Thanks for the reply, CountZero.

Works for me now, too. :)
