"Minimal Perl for the Impatient" is a tiny AWK-like dialect of Perl that allows newbies to write
Data Validation,
Report Generation, and
File Conversion programs with minimal learning and effort.
I got some useful feedback on the first version at my TPC5 BOF, and during my half-day YAPC::Europe tutorial too.
An enhanced version of the '98 YAPC tutorial slides is now available for downloading at
the Consultix web site.
