"Minimal Perl for the Impatient" is a tiny AWK-like dialect of Perl that allows newbies to write Data Validation, Report Generation, and File Conversion programs with minimal learning and effort.

I got some useful feedback on the first version at my TPC5 BOF, and during my half-day YAPC::Europe tutorial too. An enhanced version of the '98 YAPC tutorial slides is now available for downloading at the Consultix web site. Please check it out, and let me hear your comments!
