My last backpacking trip was in 2002 with a bunch of youth from our church. My knees won't deal with backpacking any more unfortunately.

    That's no fun, sorry to hear that.

    I have used a JetBoil for quickly boiling water on regular campouts as well, sometimes to impress youth campers, sometimes just to brew up a cup of coffee because I wanted one. Much easier than turning on the stove or starting a fire. And way cooler. :)
