OT - Online CGI Resources

by Ovid (Cardinal)
on Jun 07, 2001 at 05:18 UTC ( [id://86447]=perlmeditation: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Given the often spotty quality of online CGI resources, I have submitted my online CGI course to http://www.cgi-resources.com/Documentation/CGI_Tutorials/ in an attempt to "improve" the quality of their resources (one of my less humble moments, I suppose). Since many people check the user ratings on these, I would be grateful if some of you would go out there and rate it. Of course, if you think my course sucks, feel free to say that, too.

Also, for those who are interested, I am currently working on Lesson Four of the course, so hopefully that will be available soon.

Cheers,
Ovid

I went to the resource index (it's funny, I used to go there all the time!) and tried to vote for your gig! I even registered and all so I could comment on your OT and tell them how rockin it was. BUT, they link to Rate your OT was broken!!! (404!!!!!!!!) I would email them and lay the smack down....unless I'm the only one who can't rate your OT. <moviequote movie="Three to Tango">I love Ovid...he rocks.</moviequote>...I change it a little.

Hi, I've gone and given your site a 10 spot. It desperately needs Appendix 1 - How to get your CGI working. I recommend you at least link to Tom Christiansen's page 'The Idiot's Guide to Solving Perl CGI Problems' at http://www.perl.com/CPAN-local/doc/FAQs/cgi/idiots-guide.html as an interim measure. This is a very useful resource.

BTW At the end of lesson 2 there is no forward link to lesson 3.

    Keep up the good work
