I just wonder(ed) what happened to Larry Wall, Damian Conway, Randal L. Schwartz, Brian D'Foy and others that were, well, significant people back then.

I happen to know that the first two still use Perl 5 a lot, and investigate much time in Perl 6.

But honestly, if you have no concept as to what I mean, or why I posted this, then, well, I guess ... you just don't.

From you posting about a 404 of an unrelated page to Perlmonks Discussion (which is for discussions about Perlmonks, not Perl in general), I indeed didn't have a concept as to what you meant. I can't read minds. Thanks for explaning.

Anyway, I've told TimToady about the 404. Maybe he's inclined to fix it.

Well, I took your suggestion to heart and mailed Larry, so I guess if he didn't know before, now he has no pretext anymore, apart from claiming it was the spam filter. ;) Thanks for forwarding the message anyway. Doppelt hält sowieso besser. ;) And yes, sorry for posting to PM discussions actually, I am glad it got moved, I first wrote it as a reply in the 8 long years thread, and then opted to write it separately, since it was OT as a reply too, kinda.
