While I'm not affiliated in any way with the 1980s band General Public I am a member of the public. Perhaps you are confused as to what the term means.

For someone who claims to be concerned with security you're pretty clueless. The general public can access this community without having to login, while there are other places were more destructive (albeit better constructed, more efficient and well documented) code is publicly available, it is the direct intention of such places to make it so. However you state that by posting here your intention was not to make it available to the general public? Your argument that similar code is available elsewhere has nothing to do with the fact in dispute here.

There is also an old security adage "There is no security through obscurity", which is perhaps also worth your time thinking about.
