Inline::Python maintainership

Nine has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm using Inline::Python for compatibility with loads of legacy Python code and discovered quite a few memory leaks and segmentation faults. Fixed some of them and posted a patch on the RT.

I also tried contacting the author Neil Watkiss, since I have a very hard time making progress (this being my first attempt at messing with the guts of either Perl and Python), but I cannot find a working email address. They all bounce with unknown user.

Even if Neil does not have any time anymore to maintain his modules (as indicated to me on the inline mailing list), I'd like to take over, since I'll be stuck with using and fixing the occasional bug anyways.

So, does anyone know how to contact NEILW? Or is anyone interested in helping with Inline::Python?

I don't know Neil, but a quick google search suggests that you might want to try contacting him via LinkedIn or FaceBook. Mike	[reply]

Both those sites require that you register with them before doing anything useful with them, and the information you have to give them is worth more to them that what you get back in return. (IMNSHO). Otherwise, a quick web search turns up an unobfuscated `neilw@ttul.org`, which I would try first. update: as would `neil.watkiss@sophos.com`. • another intruder with the mooring in the heart of the Perl	[reply]

Good point, although a lot of people are already members of one site or the other, in which case the marginal cost isn't so high... Mike	[reply]
