in reply to My company employs...

I voted on this shortly after it's posting, and then got pulled away before I could post.

Lear Corp. employs 25k+ "Knowledge Workers" (if you've read any of "Drama" series, you'll understand why I can't even type that without a sardonic chuckle) which denotes them as someone with a login on one of our domains (count your M$ liscenses and there's your knowledge-orker pool, I suppose - fitting). On top of that, we employ an uncounted number of plant workers and staff (Well, I'm sure HR counts them, but it's their job, isn't it?).

I am merely a cog in a gigantic, wobbling wheel - And in the immortal words of George Jetson (or was it Mike Meyers?):

Jane!! Get me off this crazy thing - - Called life

25k people? You'd think they'd have someone to create a non-flash version of their site ;-).

      *AMEN*

The externally facing website is handled by the Corporate Communications Dept (Read: Out-sourced by them to some "Professional Firm") Rather than by the intranet development group (which has technologically savvy web designers and applications programers on staff and in house to help with HTML and web technology needs)

      *Sigh*

Why must we fight these battles every day?

      C-.
