If you have tools consuming CPAN, you need to update them to understand that the /Perl6/ subdirectory of an author directory is perl6 code, not perl5, and to either skip those dists or handle them accordingly.

How much cleaner it would all be if instead of this nonsense, the-language-that-slightly-resembles-Perl-if-seen-from-very-far got its own CP6AN. Sharing the user database for the benefit of those twenty users of Perl6 with with separate directories and a separate server name. Jenda Enoch was right! Enjoy the last years of Rome.	[reply]

Thats just stupid Other software doesn't have this problem, they don't reuse the same file extension for a radically different version of the software	[reply]

Real software doesn't use file extensions at all. Really? So your editor that looks at the extension to determine what syntax profile to use isn't "Real software"? Your C++ compiler that uses the file extension to determine whether to compile the file as C or C++ isn't "Real software"? gunzip `gunzip: _831513.exp: unknown suffix -- ignored` isn't "Real software". ... What a pointless, valueless, meaningless statement.
