This is a sincere question -- could you please clarify which part in the log above was a "scornful and derogatory put-down"? Different people from different backgrounds/cultures/experiences perceive words differently, especially in the absence of in-person expressions, mannerisms and tone, so I would like to understand your perspective better so I can properly phrase my responses in future.

    Hi Karen, lest there be any misunderstanding, I was not referring to you and have never found anything you said to anyone to be the least bit snarky.

    I am surprised there can be any confusion whatsoever about what in the posted log was a "scornful and derogatory put-down".

    After the OP had been engaged for some time with a third party who was trying to help with the question and suggested the warning was not originated where reported, he asked:

    2019-07-23 19:22:02 mje__ ok, so the crux of the opinion is the line number is possibly wrong and so other tests could be at fault?
    The helper responded affirmatively:
    2019-07-23 19:24:51 alh Yes. And you can figure out by adding debug everywhere
    ... but not before the ubiquitous guru-troll jumped in with his first contribution to the discussion:
    2019-07-23 19:24:47 mst the crux of the opinion is "you're confused about *something*

    As is usually the case, he went on to make comments and suggestions, (not very useful, repeating what was already suggested by the helper and then by another commenter), but found it necessary first to make the OP feel like an idiot. As I have told him personally he is the absolute worst teacher I have ever encountered, despite his vast domain knowledge, because of his need to affirm that he is smarter than whomever he is talking at.


    The way forward always starts with a minimal test.
