I am just curious to know the history of perlmonks, like
Vivek
-- In accordance with the prarabdha of each, the One whose function it is to ordain makes each to act. What will not happen will never happen, whatever effort one may put forth. And what will happen will not fail to happen, however much one may seek to prevent it. This is certain. The part of wisdom therefore is to stay quiet.
who started it?(being here for 3+ years I could sense that as vroom, but any further info could be useful),
when it is started?,
how many users were there in the begining?
how soon it become popular?(it is certainly popular now, for all perl users this is a heavenly gift, probably one of the wonders of the world :) )
any other interesting facts about perlmonks and its history. ( I searched this site about perlmonks history which lead to no relevant nodes, that's why I am asking this question).
