That is true but I was more interested on the request by the OP on "Ideas on how to improve the Tutorial solicitation process are also welcome". Moreover, I think that a private message is good for comments like: "I would love a tutorial on topic X" but it would not be as good, IMHO, for the cases in which the sender would like to describe an idea in greater detail. Anyways, those are just my 2 cents.

Excellent question.
Since Tutorials Quest is really just another aspect of the site, how it's managed
is fair game for PMD. But I wouldn't recommend posting it as a reply in this thread.
And, as always, it's generally advisable to chat about it in public or private first, if possible, before posting.
