I've been working in full-time web development or webmastery roles now for the last 6 years and for many years and a couple of jobs prior to that was responsible for web and Internet infrastructure services in sys-admin roles on both Unix and Windows platforms.
I've been working pretty much exclusively with open-source technologies on the server side for much of that time, and Perl has been my scripting language of choice (with a little Python and Lisp along the way)
I've been working on a Perl web application development framework (who isnt :-) called XApperator. It stores all data and config in file-system XML files and builds its entire UI layer using XSLT. I'm also the author of the Perl port of the back-end for the very funky Webnote tool from Tony Chang.
