The Chatterbox has a new feature: private chat. To send a note to somebody (it doesn't matter if they're logged on) type /msg or /tell --space-- (user's name) ((if the user has a space in their name you must use an _underscore_)) --space-- whatever you want to say. The message will appear in that user's chatterbox immediately and will stay until they "check" the box next to it.

I just found this node while browsing old stuff. This information should be in the Perl Monk Procedures section, or somewhere similar. As far as I know, there is no documentation at all for the chatbox...or is there?

It *is* a nice feature to know about, however....

Apologies for the somewhat off-subject spot for this, but sometimes I see the input box in the chatterbox and sometimes I don't. Mostly I don't when there's a fair amount of chatting going on.

This expected behavior or what am I missing?
Can anonymous monks vote? I could not earlier when logged in as AM, but could not figure out if it was a bug or a feature... If the latter, perhaps removing the Vote button would cause the AMs les confusion...
I knew about the node quality, was just wondering about the polls. I logged in earlier and when I tried to vote as an AM, it brought me right back to the same page, without going to the poll page. Once logged in, I was able to vote and it went to the poll results page as expected.
