I asked a followup question about which Catalyst model to use at Re: A brief survey of the DBI usability layer modules on the CPAN.

Context: Class::DBI had gotten quite a bit of flack on the main thread. Since this seems to be the main model for Catalyst, I asked for opinions about the up-and-coming Catalyst model DBIx::Class, which is still listed as experimental. On the thread, DBIx::Simple was praised, but I'm not sure how much similarity there is between it and DBIx::Class, although obviously both are citizens of the DBIx galaxy.
