SUPER::VERSION() will call UNIVERSAL::VERSION(), which, in turn, will return the content of the $VERSION variable. But this variable will only be set in the distributed package via Dist::Zilla. See https://metacpan.org/source/CROMEDOME/Dancer2-0.205002/lib/Dancer2.pm#L2
