in reply to transmit udp packets

Hello Amish,

It's been a very long time since I've had a networking class, but I don't remember UDP having a destination MAC address. I thought it was only IP address and port number.

The Wiki page for User Datagram Protocol doesn't seem to indicate MAC addresses in the UDP header. All I can say is perhaps the MAC is being sent in the UDP data packet?

Good luck.

Cheers,

Brent

Sorry for the misunderstanding. yes the MAC address is not part of the udp section of the ethernet frame.
