The sentiment is there, i agree. But then why take any medicine at all? What or where exactly is the difference between the two?

    Not taking known effective medicines would be a disrespectful waste of resources, just like not wearing a coat in winter or performing basic hygiene tasks. If I can avoid dying to no end, I should do so - to live is Christ. I have nothing to fear when I do eventually die - to die is gain.
