All the logic bombs I've left in the code I've written over the last few decades.

My Retirement Plan is my four children. I plan move in with the oldest one and stay for 18 months; then move in with the second oldest for 18 months; then the third followed by the fourth. By then the eldest will have forgotten how difficult a room-mate I can be (it has been five and 1/2 years) and he will welcome me with open arms and nominal room & board.

Not amusing, but I'm going to have to work until I have so few years of life left that I won't need much in the way of savings. Also known as: Work 'till you drop.
"Hire 'em young; use 'em up; throw 'em out."

T'was the personnel practice of a major wire service 30+ years ago.

      Today: 'Soylent Green' anyone?

Sadly, is now the practice of many companies. That and off-shoring the work and/or hiring cheap H1B workers.

      High five :(

I will rely on the generosity of my 4 children. They already know this.

Great question. Would like to say all of the above, but it's looking like 1) a younger working wife 2) 401K 3) social security 4) 1st husband's pension 5) paid off house and 6) bad genes.

I really have no idea. I tell myself that (with all the options) something ought to work out. Between that and ever changing politics, taxes, and services, i'm not even sure how much a plan would help.

    My farm... (God help me!)

...the majority is always wrong, and always the last to know about it...

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...

A solution is nothing more than a clearly stated problem...otherwise, the problem is not a problem, it is a facct

Three family farmers meet at the diner for coffee on a cold winter morning. The conversation wanders on until a kibitzer asks them to tell what they'd do if they won the lottery.

Farmer One ponders; then announces he'd go to Florida or California... "and take my Grandkids to Disneyland."

The others nod and Farmer Two speaks up: "Well, my idea is for just the wife and me: a cruise around the world on the fanciest boat we can find."

One mutters an acknowledgement; Three clears his throat.

"Those are right interesting, but I 'spect I'll just keep right on farmin' 'till I go broke."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes. Juvenal, Satires

The version I heard was not quite as good. Went something like; Having won the lottery, a life-long farmer was asked what he would do with all the money he won. "Keep on farming 'til it's gone." was his reply.

        Yup, I reckon so...

...the majority is always wrong, and always the last to know about it...

Insanity: Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...

A solution is nothing more than a clearly stated problem...otherwise, the problem is not a problem, it is simply an inconvenient fact
