The prototype of readpipe() is now ($). Previously, it was broken:
$ perl5.8.8 -wle 'print prototype"CORE::readpipe"'
Can't find an opnumber for "readpipe" at -e line 1.
$ bleadperl -wle 'print prototype"CORE::readpipe"'
